Diver Stress & Rescue

Probably this is one of the challenging and most rewarding courses. Diving is a serious sport where a lot of responsibility is needed. This course allows you to learn how to recognise stress, and how to manage a stressful situation. You learn necessary skills and knowledge to prevent diving accidents and to properly deal with emergency situations.

In a few rescue scenarios you can put all your theoretical knowledge into practice, and you can train how to use special equipment for emergency situations.

You will be going through these subjects:

  • Self-rescue
  • Recognise stress in other divers and manage it
  • Emergency plans and management
  • Rescue a diver in panic
  • Rescue an unconscious diver

After the completion of this course, you will gain more self-confidence in your skills as a diver, you will realise that you can actually help other divers if needed, and you become a better dive buddy.

As prerequisites, you must have a successfully completed Open Water Diver and a proof of current training of First Aid and CPR (within two years).
