\"Our<\/a>A Fresh Look, More Comfort & the Same Wet Frog Spirit<\/h2>\n

For more than two months at the beginning of the year, our dive boat Mega Anugrah<\/a> took a little time out of the water.<\/p>\n

No, she wasn\u2019t on holiday.<\/p>\n

She was in the dry dock, and our team was busy giving our beloved dive boat a well-deserved makeover. After many conversations, ideas from our team, and feedback from our guests, we decided not only to maintain the boat, but to make her more comfortable, more practical, and safer for the seasons ahead.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re excited to welcome you back to a refreshed and upgraded dive boat!<\/p>\n

A little more room to enjoy Komodo<\/h3>\n

One of the biggest changes is upstairs.<\/p>\n

We added a new terrace on the second deck, creating more space to sit, relax, and enjoy the view between dives. We also added a bowsprit, giving you the chance to experience Komodo<\/a> from a completely different angle, hovering right above the waves.<\/p>\n

And yes, it\u2019s as fun as it sounds.<\/p>\n

Throughout the boat, we also added more showers and sinks, improved the toilet areas, created additional seating, and refreshed the layout to make moving around the deck easier.<\/p>\n

These might sound like small changes, but when you have a full boat of divers getting ready for the dives of the day, every little bit of extra space helps.<\/p>\n

Behind the scenes<\/h3>\n

Our captain, Fidin, has been with Wet Frog for almost ten years. He knows Mega Anugrah inside and out and treats her like a family member. During the dry dock, he personally followed the work from start to finish. He even selected the wood himself, spending days and nights with the logger and ship\u2019s carpenter to make sure the quality was right.<\/p>\n

From the fresh paintwork to the new layout and all the small details in between, Fidin and the team were there to make sure everything was done properly. Meanwhile, our mechanic took care of the major engine services and maintenance checks, including important safety equipment such as the life rafts and onboard systems.<\/p>\n

Operating a boat and working on an island also comes with its own little adventures. Sometimes a spare part needs to travel by ferry to another island for servicing, and then we wait several days for it to come back. Nerve-wracking when you\u2019re waiting for an important part? Definitely.<\/p>\n

Safety doesn\u2019t take a holiday<\/h3>\n

We also used the dry dock period as an opportunity to refresh our team\u2019s first-aid training. We spend our days around the ocean, so being prepared matters. Hopefully, you\u2019ll never need to see those skills in action, but we want our team to be ready if something unexpected happens.<\/p>\n

Back where she belongs<\/h3>\n

Dry dock is hard work. It\u2019s physically demanding, sometimes exhausting, and occasionally a little stressful. But it\u2019s also a chance to stop, reflect, and ask ourselves how we can do things better. Because sometimes, it\u2019s the little things that make the biggest difference: a more comfortable place to sit after a dive, a smoother morning setup, more space on deck, or simply a cleaner and more enjoyable environment after a long day in the ocean.<\/p>\n

Now Mega Anugrah is back where she belongs \u2014 in the water, ready for more dives<\/a>, more salty stories, more happy bubbles, and more adventures around Komodo.<\/p>\n

Underneath all the changes, she\u2019s still the same boat, and we\u2019re still the same Wet Frog Divers team. We know we can\u2019t cater to every taste, and we know there will always be something that can be improved. But that\u2019s exactly why we keep listening, learning, and looking for ways to make things better.<\/p>\n
